A note on unsolicited calls
If someone calls promising guaranteed returns on a mutual fund, it's a scam. Returns on market-linked products cannot be guaranteed, and any registered distributor or adviser knows they cannot claim otherwise.
Also worth knowing: your money should always go to the asset management company, never into a distributor's personal or business account. If anyone asks you to transfer investment money to them directly, stop and verify with the AMC.
